Our Natural Biodegradable Silk Floss is sourced in cooperation with the CORSEDA Farm Cooperative in Cauca, Colombia. The CORSEDA Cooperative is a family owned and operated initiative that focuses on redirecting worthy sources of livelihood back to the native populations of Colombia in a sustainable and enriching manner. Spun by hand, the silk we use is pure, natural silk thread that is a 100% biodegradable material and comes from silk worms. Silk is used to make clothes, floss and many other products throughout the world.  Silk thread is one of nature’s strongest natural fibers and the only natural fiber strong enough to be made into floss. In order to harvest in an efficient, effective, and safe manner, the silk cocoons are boiled to allow the whole cocoon to be unraveled as one continuous thread, permitting a much stronger thread and reducing the number of cocoons needed to make viable silk thread. The result is a 100% natural product that can biodegrade and causes no impact on the environment after use. We here at RADIUS believe this is a very important offering for our consumers and our environment. For consumers who are looking for a vegan option, we do also offer Vegan Mint and Vegan Cranberry flosses which are made from nylon rather than pure silk.

Being a toothbrush is pretty much the only thing that they have in common because their designs are completely different. The Source handle is straight, not angled like the Original and SCUBA, and the Source handle is made from recycled materials like dollar bills, wood, and paper. The Source also uses Replacement Heads which are 50% smaller than the Original/SCUBA heads. The Source can be either right or left handed depending on how you put the Replacement Head into the handle. The Original and SCUBA come in right and left hand versions.

We offer free standard shipping to US delivery addresses for orders over $15. For orders that do not qualify for free shipping our shipping charges are are dependent on how much you buy and where it's being shipped. We use weight and cost calculations directly from the United States Postal Service and FedEx. Please know that any shipment over 1lb must ship Priority Mail (as designated from the USPS) and will cost more than items under 1lb. We ship directly from our HQ in Pennsylvania.

We're kind of against artificial and synthetic ingredients here at RADIUS so unlike other conventional/mass brands that use synthetic mint, we only use natural mint. Specifically Mentha x piperita L commonly known as peppermint.

It's all about looks. The Original Toothbrush is made from a hard cellulose plastic giving it an almost translucent "sea glass" appearance and the thumb grip will be smooth. The SCUBA is made from an opaque rubber and the thumb grip will have bumps and ridges. Also, when you push on the SCUBA's brush head the neck will bend and flex making it perfect for harder brushers.

They don't. All of our toothbrushes aree made with only soft bristles with the exception of our Medium Replacement Heads that can be used with our Source and TOUR Toothbrushes.

You bet. All of our bristles are soft with the exception of our Medium Replacement Heads. The bristles on the Original and SCUBA are exactly the same but because the SCUBA has a flexible neck the bristles might feel softer since you are exerting less pressure while you brush.

Our nylon comes from a petroleum derivative. Trust us, we would LOVE to have a different material which is not oil based, unfortunately we have not been able to find another material that has the properties needed for a flossing thread and that is not oil based.

You know we love our lefties but we don't currently make a lefty Kidz. Our Source Toothbrush is a great alternative to a left handed Kidz, though. The handle is made from recycled materials and can be either right or left handed. The heads size is also similar to the Kidz.
