Accessories - A case for discretion
July 31, 2003By Linda Matchan They're calling this a "personal care accessory"(PCA) but truth be told, it's a condom case, and a high-style one at that. Created by the Radius Toothbrush people, makers of the highly-designed, oversized toothbrush that's in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute National Design Museum, this new product is sleek and translucent and comes in white, blue, and green. It has space for three foil-wrapped condoms. Why the leap from toothbrushes to condoms? "e;It's all about protection, isn't it?"e; says Kevin Foley, president of Radius, who points out that the holder's snappy two-hinged design makes it easy to open in the dark. He says it's a perfect PCA for women: On other days, it doubles as a compact tampon holder. It's available at Whole Foods Stores for $3.98 and at radiustoothbrush.com.
